The Sales Psychology Sequence

People buy in a specific psychological order. Skip a step and the sale stalls. Hit them in order and the sale feels obvious.

  • 1. Awareness: name the problem they didn't know they had
  • 2. Belief: prove change is possible (not for everyone — for them)
  • 3. Trust: show you've done it / helped someone like them
  • 4. Decision: lower the cost of saying yes
  • 5. Action: tell them exactly what to click
