The 6-Part Thread Structure

Every long thread that converts on Threads has the same 6 parts. Skip a part and the thread leaks readers.

  • 1. Hook — earn the second post
  • 2. Stakes — why this matters now
  • 3. Story or evidence — make it real
  • 4. Mechanism — the 'how' or 'why it works'
  • 5. Application — what the reader does next
  • 6. CTA or reflection — close the loop cleanly
The leak points

Most threads die between part 2 and 3 — when stakes haven't landed and story hasn't started. That gap kills retention.
